Climate crisis is a reality today with the prospect of it worsening with each passing day unless appropriate measures are undertaken to combat it. Sanjeevani Ganga is dedicated to the conservation of environment by encouraging behavioural and lifestyle changes in people and integrating the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 in its functioning. Established in 2008 Sanjeevani Ganga is a non-profit organisation registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860, Registration no. 580. The community based organisation based in Pirpainti has done considerable work in Bhagalpur district and aspires to expand across Bihar and other states of the country with time and resources. Its main focus areas are water sanitation and management, land use diversification, waste management, and the use of green technology to address climate crisis and the overall wellbeing of people. The organisation employs creative methods to create awareness about climate related issues using public awareness and engagement campaigns, plantation drives, workshops, IEC materials, digital communication, art, music, and theatre. It is managed by community leader Md. Ayaz, who has dedicated his life to resolve the problem of environmental degradation and to create a model of sustainable living in contemporary times.
